Bad Breath Halitosis Forum

I tried this last year, after reading another post on this forum. Like most things, it worked for a while in the beginning, but after 2 months or so, became relatively useless. So I stopped taking them. Can't seem to find anything that works long term unfortunately.

Hello. I found some tamarind at an Asian store and bought some. However, its 'sweet tamarind'. Does that work as well? Or should I be buying a different (or sour) version?

Glad to hear your getting good results. I've tried different types of probiotics before, but never worked for me. With respect to the 'mixing' of various ingredients your doing with the waterpick, aren't you concerned that you might be greating a 'super-immune' bacteria causing bad breath?

hasn't helped the coating on my tongue any. I always have a coated white tongue, which I'm sure is responsible for my bad breath. Are you supposed to apply pure drops of the GSE to the tongue? or dilute it in water and then gargle and drink it?

I've tried GSE for a week now---gargling with it and drinking some of it with water. No real benefit that I can see. I'm also taking the Natures Way DIM pills. Again, same crappy breath, with little benefit. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Well said Jimi. A mystery it is. Absolutely oppressive and all-consuming, with no escape on the horizon that I can see. I can only hope that one of the various 'cures' offered up on this site actualy work one day. I guess thats all we can do---hope.

agree with Phantasist. I've taken plenty of priobotics in the past.....in pill form, Elora plus, probiotics gum, etc. Nothing worked. I then tried the routine suggested by ilovemytwix. I've only been using the NOW Super Enzymes. It comes in capsule form and I've opened an individual capsule up and let the powder drop into a glass. Then I add a little water and stir it up to get rid of any lumps. Then I gargle for 30 seconds to a minute like Sadman said to do. I do this twice a day...

I bought it at a local vitamin store here in Toronto called S&H Health foods. But should be readily available most places....its called NOW Super Enzymes.
