Meetup for Breath/ Body Odour sufferers London, Sep 13/14th

Post by Scientist42 »

Hi Guys,
I am organizing the Annual Group Meetup for people with Breath/ Body Odour on The Tattershall Castle on Sat 13th and Sunday 14th September 2014 1-5pm (on the boat), then 5pm-10pm (off the boat)

This Meetup has been set up to coincide with the Thames Festival 2014

Just read the following link and you will see that the meet-up has carnivals, live bands, floats, riverboat rides, international food stalls etc.

http://totallythames.org/events

We usually get at least a dozen members coming and we just chill out and hang out together.

On the Saturday and Sunday, we will meet 1pm onwards on the Upper deck (open air), of a boat called the Tattershall Castle, which is moored on the river Thames around 100 yards from Embankment Underground station:-

However, if it rains or the weather is poor then we will sit in the lower deck. We will leave the boat at 5pm and in the evening, we will sit on the grassy areas on the South Bank of the river Thames beside the London Eye and listen to the live music and watch the firework display over the Thames. There are food stalls all around and we can sit on the grass and eat/drink.

The meetup is a means of networking with other sufferers, exchanging tips and having a nice time. Believe me, you will learn more from other members than from any doctor or scientist. As a Group, our members are our specialists! They have a variety of experience.

Members usually can not smell one another (since we produce similar chemicals in our odour) so don't worry about other members smelling you, they generally can not!

At the festival I will have my mobile phone with me all day and the number is 07725 912 027 and it is often better to text me (especially in the evening) since the music can sometimes be loud. I will check for texts every few minutes.

If anyone is coming from far, there are cheap rooms at :-

http://www.londonuniversityrooms.co.uk/

Single rooms are only £45 per night because it is University of London Student's accommodation.

BUT, book early otherwise all the single rooms will be gone.

If you guys have any query, please email me or text me on my mobile.

Hey Larc dude, long time no see. Yes, it's always a great event. I can't believe we have been holding this event almost every year for the last decade! (this is the 10th year). I expect a few of the old-timers but we have a lot of newbies too. In future we should charge entry and use the money to hire an OralChroma for our guests

Wish we had regular meetups like this in the US.

Jess and Trunks,
Admittedly the Meetups work well in a smaller country like England. However, try posting a thread saying where you live and your email address and that you would like to hear from members in the same or neighboring States.

If you bump that thread regularly with a posting so that it is always visible then over a period of time I think you will be happy with your replies and the many new friends you meet.

That's a great idea Arun, and for a while now I've been suggesting people to post their general location in here so we all could have a general idea where everyone is contact people near us, but the majority of people here haven't posted their general location
