Heyy i was just thinking about you on my way home today and was gonna shoot you a text...Thank you!!!!! I am hoping and praying to whatever god is willing to listen lol that this is the surgery for me. I can see a ton of tonsil stones on my tonsils today and am thinking that i probably have a ton more in my adenoids. Crossing my fingers!!

MAN! That makes no sense to me!! I can't wrap my head around why we couldn't smell each others breath because I'm telling you, i didn't smell even the smallest amount of bb on you...And you are certain you aren't paranoid and misinterpreting these cues?! There was a post on here about grapefruit seed extract and tea tree oil...ive been following his instructions and so far i feel like my mouth is extremely clean. I only encountered one person today and although he touched his nose once, i don't think it was towards me...or maybe it was...i dunno but i think its worth a try!! You should also look into what we talked about over dinner, going to a specialist. You've done so much already and marked them off your check list so don't give up girl!!

Based on your symptoms, I really do think this will be your solution. Or at the very least it will make it way better, since no more tonsil stones!

But yes its soo weird how we couldn't smell each other! Afterwards I was actually thinking maybe you just felt bad and didn't want to hurt my feelings since I couldn't smell you haha. Basically Im convinced now that only certain ppl can smell certain types because I do get reactions from most ppl, just not all. I can only WISH to find out that Im just paranoid and this bb nightmare was actually not real. Wouldn't that be amazing lol. Ofcourse my new coworkers have already started with the random convos about dentists, flossing etc trying to throw out hints haha.

I too will try the Cal's suggestions because my symptoms are similar to his. And ur right, I will definitely seek out a specialist soon. It will just be heartbreaking if I find out this is part of my genes and there's nothing I can do about it :(

You could not smell each other because you are both producing same odour compound both of you probably have tmau.

Yeah i agree cause i as well get reactions from some people and none from others. lol no i promise you i would have told you-- i don't take this whole thing lightly and lying to you about it to try and preserve your feelings doesn't help anyone!! Your not alone, so if you ever want to talk just give me a call/text. Dont give up. Were all in this together!! I'll shoot you a text before school starts and maybe we can meet up again!!

Atrial: If i had tmau, wouldn't my urine, sweat and skin smell? I have never ever in my life been told i smell bad even after the gym. More often then not, I'm being told i smell good so i don't understand. Ive don't a bit of reading on tmau and nothing adds up to my situation.

whatdidido wrote:Surgery booked for October 21st for septoplasty, adenoid and palatine tonsil removal!! Im going from hopeless to hopeful so i'll let you all know how this goes. These past few weeks have been the worst I've had since this all started so having a surgery date after waiting for what will be over a year when the date comes is the pick me up i needed!!!

For those who have had the surgery and are now BB free, is there anything i should talk to my ENT about in regards to what i want him to look out for, or anything to include, things he should make sure to do while in there?

8-[ :P
Hi
I had my palatine tonsils removed couple weeks ago and it has made a huge difference….from the taste in my mouth, how it feels and other peoples reactions or now it is lack of reactions….people are not moving away from me, covering their nose with hands or anything like that…. the tonsillectomy was the best decision ever.

I can almost guarantee you that after you have all the surgeries you state you are going to have…. you will feel like a new person with a 2nd shot in life!!!!
Its amazing

That is great to hear Sun123, I'm truly happy you have found some relief!! I think about this surgery day and night so hearing you have noticed a drastic change makes that little bit of fear of surgery go away!! We have some what of the same symptoms as well so I'm staying positive and will try to get through the first two months of school with this curse!

Did your ENT find anything in your tonsils that he said was causing your bad breath, like hidden tonsil stones or something? I remember you saying you had small white dots in the back of your throat, have those gone away now?

Hey whatdidido,

I am just curious about you mentioning "small white dots in the back of your throat thing". I had posted a thread about tonsil stone removal youtube video. Have you given that thing a try yet?

Yes!! Ive watched it a few times and a number of other videos on youtube. Ive been able to get a couple small ones out but every time i reach back there i violently cough and even regurgitate. The small pale dots on the back of my throat don't appear to have anything in them as far as tonsil stones go. I feel like it may be a reaction from acid reflex or PND because when the ENT put the camera down my nose he said i had pretty bad irritation down my throat and on my adenoids. I don't know for certain but i will bring it up with I'm when i see him next. Thank you for inquiring :)

How is your journey going? I think i last read that you were finding success with oil pulling and it significantly reduced your BB? Have you decided on if you would go for the tonsillectomy yet?

You have to be patient while doing it. It will take lots of practice before you become perfect. Cut your nails and have them filed so that they don't hurt your tonsils. Wet your tonsils and fingers and then slowly and slowly press against those tonsils so that you see a white spot coming out of the hidden crevices of the tonsils. Once you see one, patiently try to push it outside. I do this thing only once or twice a week. Hope this helps!

As for me, I am doing good. Oil pulling and the above thing has helped a lot (along with the usual dental hygiene stuff). So nowadays I am lot more confident.

I have become good friends with one person from this forum and for past 2-3 years we have hangout 300-400 times and i have not smelled bb on him once (only cigarate breath once). He claims the same thing to me.

We also met another girl together that was from this forum and we could not smell her/ she couldnt smell us.

Furthermore he met 2 additional girls from here and he couldnt smell either of them and both of them couldnt smell him. ts weird but it seems to be common issue that members from the forum cant/dont smell each other bb but they do smell other random people that have bb (i know i do).

Its strange

he said the inside of the tonsil was 'rotten'. he did not mention anything about tonsil stones, I'm still waiting for post op report and consultation, where I will ask him more questions.

the white dot I had on my tonsil was most likely from an infection like cold or something because I only ever noticed it once.
