Do you have a method of talking to people?

For years I've kind of held my breath when speaking to people (and also when people are around me). Do you use any techniques or do you speak "normally"? If you do, do you think or know if it helps? Using my method still garners reactions so I really have no idea if it helps or not (or makes it worse). Just curious about the rest of ya.

I generally look down at an angle or away from the person I am talking with. I mean the flow of my breath is not directed directly towards the persons face when having one-to-one conversation.

I love winter and when its very cold cause it easier to disguise my breath.. I wrap a scarf over my mouth and nose.. it does not look crazy walking into a store like that... Now, since it hot...I try to stand feet away from the counter and barley make eye contact.. i'm sure most of the times they think i'm on drugs by how hyper I am to get away..

My method is to ignore them so I don't have to open my mouth

My technique is not to speak at all and it kills me. At times I can be with a group of people who are having a conversation and I will not say a word. I never express my opinion. Sometimes if they press me for an answer it will be one word or something brief. They'll look at me and say you're a very quiet person. I talk alot on the phone.

The best method is to speak inwards. It's really effective.

Say the words during the inhale instead of the exhale.

I guess the sounds are made by something other than your voicebox when you do this. I have always had the habit of laughing inwards and using my throat to make the sounds.

I don't really have a method since it's impossible for me to mask my nasal halitosis, so usually I submit to the inevitable humiliation, if the person happens to notice my bb. I observe people's behavior and reactions all the time even if they don't see me and I've reached the conclusion that for some reason, some people don't notice anything, some are even rude about it. But I'm always on my toes when I have to speak with someone and it's stressful.
